It will feature a host of exhibitors, demonstrations and lectures from a variety of heritage and metal detecting based sources...

 

Britain has a long and colourful past which consistently promotes high levels of historical interest, not just from the indigenous population, but worldwide (30 million tourists visit the UK annually). This show aims to reflect that interest by bringing together an eclectic group from the worlds of Heritage and Metal Detecting to create a visual and thought provoking festival of the past.

A ‘hands-on’ event exploring many facets of our fascinating past with a special emphasis on the hobby of Metal Detecting - itself inextricably linked with the heritage theme. The principal aims of the show are to entertain and educate in equal measure and to make sure that you  have a simply fantastic, and unique, day out!

Where is it?

The show, to be held over two days, will take place at the Telford International Centre in the West Midlands. Click here for directions. The centre is located 5 minutes from the M54 and very close to  the local rail network: there are regular services from Birmingham New Street, Wolverhampton and Shrewsbury. The International Centre is two minutes by regular bus service or taxi from Telford railway station.

When is it?

The Ancestors 2011 - Dates to be announced soon. Doors will open at 9am and close at 5.30pm on both days.

What is it?

A comprehensive event providing an opportunity for heritage and metal detecting fans to immerse themselves, over a two day period, in every aspect of their particular hobby or interest. The past will be represented by manufacturers, publishers, speakers, re-enactment groups, demonstrations ,exhibitions, displays and much, much more!
